Just imagine that there is a big party for the dogs in your neighborhood and you were selected as the photographers. Hooray! The party you were invited to is actually a new kind of costume party that is becoming more and more popular – it is a dog wedding. These are often done as publicity stunts or as fund raisers. They are silly and funny, but people will definitely want good digital wedding photos of the wedding ceremony to immortalize the couple for ages.
An outdoor ceremony
Dog weddings are generally held outside. This is definitely a benefit for the colors and lighting of the scenes you need to shoot. Try to be at the ceremony location about half an hour before to get used to the setting so that you will be able to make the best digital wedding pictures possible. You will easily be able to determine where you should position yourself in order to get the best lighting.
Plan ahead
Being a photographer isn’t easy. Often you will just get one chance to take a particular shot. Therefore it is a good idea to make a list of all the wedding shots you and the owners of the dog would like to make. This will ensure that you don’t forget anything. For example, in case there is a cake you may want a picture of the cake and the dogs together. It is also important to clarify with the owners of the dog what expectations they have so that you can ensure that you can get all the shots that they really want. Make a list for you
A digital wedding photography review checklist will enable you to handle the whole process of taking pictures at a wedding smoothly. You should make sure that you have at least one camera. If you have a second one – bring it, just in case! What you also need to think about are extra batteries, a light meter if necessary and extra memory cards. You should dress in pants and comfortable shoes as you may have to do some running about. In case of a dog wedding this may happen when the bride decides to run after a mail truck passing by.
What is really important is to pack the digital wedding photography review list you have set up previously into your camera bag so that you are well prepared for the special occasion of a dog wedding. Don’t forget a squeaky dog toy to get the attention of the bridal couple.
